Today I have heard again a discussion about WhatsApp, Telegram, Signal and Threema and there was the question to which messenger one would switch from WhatsApp.
As someone who properly learned to program using Java and still works with Java almost every day, I am used to generics. Flexible parameters whose constraints do not yet have to be set during definition. The fact that there are no generics in Go took some getting used to.

Right now, there’s drama because WhatsApp is changing its terms of service and wants to share even more data with Facebook (at least from users outside the EU).
It’s been a while since I shared a picture of my desk. But since that was at the beginning of the pandemic and I’ve only worked from home since then, things have changed too. So here is the current state.

Blogging is sometimes like self-therapy. Sorting and sorting out thoughts in your head and finally you feel better.
It’s interesting how everyone (including me) starts developing their own blogging system: Colin Walker, but also James Van Dyne are some recent examples.
Once again I have coded a new small blog feature: statistics 📈 (English blog, German blog). I find it interesting to observe how the number of posts per year has changed over the years. Maybe I’ll add more detailed statistics with posts per month etc. soon.
