Remove Android bloatware with Shizuku and Canta
Today, I have new app recommendation. Almost two years ago, I wrote about bloatware removal on Android without using a PC. I recommended Hail as an app to finally uninstall the bloatware apps after gaining elevated privileges with Shizuku.
Canta is another, in my opinion more simple and more fitting, option for this purpose. It is a bit cleaner with fewer options, but has the advantage, that it easily allows you to reinstall the apps and also shows descriptions and badges from the Universal Debloater to better evaluate which apps to remove.
After some problems because I disabled too many apps last time, I did not uninstall any bloatware apps for some time. But recently, I gave it a try again, as I had the feeling my battery doesn’t hold very long anymore. I did not remove so many apps this time, but took a look in the developer options (active services) to see which apps are running in the background I do not need or are required system services. It appears to be quite effective to enhancing my battery life.
