Jan-Lukas ElseI don't want all my messages to be just stored on my phone, and I want to be able to write and read messages without my phone being available and online. Did anything regarding that changed with Signal recently?
Henrique DiasI personally don't use it on the laptop, but I just installed it and it seems you can send and receive messages even if you're phone is offline. However, the history of old messages will not be synchronised between the devices. Ah, and now you also have a sort of username instead of making your phone number public to everyone.
