Remember how I told you about a pull request that speeds up the performance of restic’s prune command?

restic is my backup tool of choice, it actually saved me from a catastrophic data loss once. I currently use it to backup my VPSs at Hetzner to a Nextcloud / Storage Share instance.

Anyway, a new version of restic has been released, which includes this pull request. And a first test confirms the proclamation. prune is now much faster. In a few minutes, I was able to free up a few gigabytes of backup storage with it.
