The heat lately and the heat in the coming weeks has been bugging me and getting to me so much that I bought a mobile air conditioner. It eats up a lot of electricity and will ruin my very low power consumption (< 800 kWh per year), but maybe it will help me sweat less.

pimoore @jlelse We have to use one of these as well, as we aren’t blessed with central air—probably a bad purchasing decision in hindsight. It really only cools the living room, and sometimes makes its way down the hall toward bedrooms if we have it on long enough. Like you said, it beats being sweaty and grouchy in our home so we’ll take it.
