I just noticed that I can cancel my annual Amazon Prime subscription and get the remaining time refunded. It was a very hidden option, but I just chose it. Delivery to package stations is still free. Let’s see if I can survive without Prime. In the last 12 months, the only Prime feature I have used is delivery. And I ordered about 40 times, but often just for convenience.

Alison Wilder I cancelled Prime last year. It's totally fine! Shipping is still free over $35, and I usually get things almost as quickly, even when Amazon pretends it will take an extra week. ("Your order has shipped early," etc.) AND I order from Amazon much less now, which seems like a net positive!
Ashraf Ali Hmm, I’m thinking about cancelling as well. If I really need it faster, I could book one month and then cancel right? Overall, that seems like a net positive as well. Less shopping, less consumerism, less money wasted. I don’t use a single other Amazon service except the shipping service so…hmmm…you’ve given me food for thought!
