Now that I have the option to publish posts without them showing up in the feed for everyone, I can finally use my blog to comment on other IndieWeb sites and send webmentions without annoying my followers. Now my blog is really a complete Twitter replacement for me.

One post I commented on, for instance, is Barry Frost’s article about his new IndieWeb CMS. A different approach than mine.

When it comes to updates, I’ve always thought that it would be handy to be able to update all the software installed on the computer at once with a single command, so that I’m always up to date. But doing updates manually only once in a while for the programs I use also has something decelerating about it. 🤔 Am I getting old?

On the one hand, it feels pretty good to have worked quite focused all the time from seven in the morning until half past six in the evening and also to have accomplished a lot. On the other hand, it’s also pretty exhausting and I’m glad I only have to work 40 hours a week, so I don’t have to work that long every day. But still, I’m glad to have a job that I enjoy and am good at, that pays well and is not physically demanding. 👨‍💻

Since recently I can publish posts with location. Now there is also a map with all posts on my English and German blog. 😉

Woke up early and after breakfast decided to go for a walk… Do you hear the birds? 🐦

It was a nice HWC on Wednesday. (I already wanted to post this photo yesterday, but had to repair my Micropub media endpoint first…)

Today I will participate again at the HWC Europe/London (remotely, but this time with a webcam). I am looking forward to some nice discussions. Until then I’m going to program a little bit on my own CMS.

I’ll join my first IndieWeb event today! Quite excited and slightly confused by the British time zone (it’s -1 hour to my time), but I’m sure it will be fun talking to other IndieWeb people. 😌

Finally I have an external wireless mouse and keyboard (Logitech MK235) for my work computer, so I can connect it to my monitor at home. Hopefully this will have a positive effect on my eyes and my posture, always working on a laptop is quite exhausting.
