Hello, little deer! 👋

Today was already the 4th day that I worked using a mobile hotspot with a speed limit of 10 mbps down and upload. This is definitely doable. I’m glad I didn’t have to transfer any larger files. Faster internet is coming in two days. But I chose wisely when I signed my mobile contract last year without a data cap.
I don’t know a lot about HTTP/3. But today I updated Caddy to version 2.6 and my sites should support HTTP/3 by default now. More speed? 🤔
I have found a way, it is possible to subscribe to Telegram Premium at a cheaper price and in Germany (where it is actually not yet officially available)!
I think the 4€ per month is a reasonable price for me for now. I’ve been using Telegram for years and I’m thrilled how quickly new features are implemented. I will gladly pay to keep Telegram going for a long time.
I have neglected my homepage for a while. But now I have deleted or updated a few pages, like the list with the hardware I use or the list with my self-hosted services. 🧹
I have no idea how many people read my posts or what posts they read. But it’s great to have a reading community that likes to comment on the questions I include in my posts, help me out or give me inspiration. Thank you!
Thanks to a recent comment, I now know that I actually don’t need soldering at all to get a smart outlet that can not only be controlled remotely, but can also display power usage. I will continue to research…
Today I worked for the first time in a very long time (about a year) for a few hours (alone) in the office at my company. My internet provider suddenly had a major outage, and since I work mainly on a virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI), it didn’t work without an internet connection. But everything worked at the office and when the internet worked again at home, this exceptional experience was already over and I went back again.
On my way to cross the country… (with mask and distance of course! 😷)

Finally I have an external wireless mouse and keyboard (Logitech MK235) for my work computer, so I can connect it to my monitor at home. Hopefully this will have a positive effect on my eyes and my posture, always working on a laptop is quite exhausting.
@jan It’s a user agent with JavaScript enabled, because that’s what sends the page view to my statistics tool. And it’s just my homepage (jlelse.dev) and not the home page from my blog. I won’t rate limit though, my site is cached using BunnyCDN and as long as it doesn’t cause gigabytes of traffic, I’ll just let things as they are.
