One of the most visited pages on my blog is about how to automatically backup Docker volumes. In that post I use the Docker image blacklabelops/volumerize. Unfortunately that image is deprecated since March 2019 and not longer maintained.
Yesterday I wrote that I’m planning to migrate to Fedora Silverblue in the future. One step towards this is finding a solution to the problem that VirtualBox, which I use to run Windows in a VM, doesn’t work on Silverblue.
In march Georges Stavracas wrote a blog on being a Free Software maintainer. Although he is very passionate about being one, he also experiences people who don’t understand that most Free Software maintainers spent their free time for those projects:

I found Drew’s website when he announced the opening of his git hosting alternative sourcehut. He has recently made the move to work full time on open source and often writes very interesting and deep technical articles on his blog.
Visual Studio Code is an awesome text editor. It is in fact my favorite one. I use it for writing blog posts, I use it for looking at code (although I prefer JetBrains IDEs for actual coding) and I use it whenever I need a text editor.

There is some discussion recently about another evil move by Google. Google plans to deprecate (and remove) an API in it’s webbrowser Chrome, that is used by many ad-blocking addons. Of course they are ignoring voices from the community! Only enterprise customers will be able to use this API for custom development.
