OneDrive has an ‘On this day’ feature, showing photos from the same day in previous years. 6 years ago, I was on an Interrail trip and we were in Venice. Two years later, I was on Interrail again, this time in Lyon. Happy memories!

Probably some readers will now think about this post: “What’s wrong with you? Where have your ideals and principles gone? Microsoft is evil!” But why do I actually have to justify myself? I have my reasons and I am free in what I can and cannot do.
I am currently experimenting with whether a Scaleway Stardust instance will also suffice for me as a code server. Scaleway offers this at an incredibly low price and if you then also select that no IPv4 address should be used, then the instance costs less than 0,50 € per month.
Now the end of July has already arrived. Another month over, another monthly review to read.
I really look forward to the final release of Gitea 1.15.0, which includes this pull-request. It adds the option to mirror to remote repositories, without the need to manually setup Git hooks, like I’ve done before.
I wrote about Barinsta (formerly InstaGrabber) before. The creator has now received a cease and desist letter from Facebook. That’s probably the death for this project. Too bad, because maybe a few people were quite happy to use Instagram semi-privately through it. But the letter is just another hint to avoid Facebook services altogether.
I currently use RSS-Bridge to follow Telegram channels and read new messages in Miniflux. RSS-Bridge is a really cool project that tries to provide RSS (or ATOM, JSON, HTML…) feeds for sites that don’t do that directly.
While watching YouTube videos, I’ve been noticing more paid mentions of NordVPN or other similar services lately.
