A new gadget arrived today: a Bluetooth transmitter and receiver. I can connect it to my stereo system, which is already more than 10 years old, and simply play music and audio via laptop or mobile phone. Works great!
On the app store debate
In the current debate (which has been going on for a while) about allowing alternative app stores on mobile devices, I honestly don’t understand at all the position that being able to use an alternative store would compromise security.
I installed Windows 10 😱
I did something very unusual for me, considering that I have been recommending the use of Linux for years (and still do): I installed Windows 10.
Tomorrow is my first real working day as a permanent employee (after the one and a half weeks of vacation I already had). In the same company and in the same team where I also completed my dual studies and my bachelor thesis, but it’s still something “new”. I’m curious to see how it will turn out. 🤓

I stumbled upon this GitHub repository and I think it’s pretty funny. Of course, once you get to know all of Go’s features, you’ll want to try them out. But with enough experience you end up with simple code again.

Sorry for so many Signal related posts, but I wanted to provide an update regarding my last post. Signal’s server code got updated.
Signal’s server code isn’t Open Source anymore
On the subject of Signal, they seem to have changed their mission regarding open source. The server code hasn’t been updated for almost a year and they don’t respond to requests regarding this. See this issue on GitHub.
