Almost two months ago, I switched back to Ubuntu as my primary operating system. While I still have a Windows 11 VM, I never really use it. Ubuntu 26.04 fits all my needs I had since switching to it. While I installed it during the beta, the final LTS version has also been released since then.
April is now over too, so it’s time to look back on the month. This time, I’ll keep it really brief.
While I, personally, blog less these days than when I was younger and had apparently more spare time, I have the feeling there’s some kind of resurrection of the blogosphere and IndieWeb these days. At least it feels more visible again. I came across a couple of new blog discovery sites recently, so here’s an incomplete list of sites (old and new) I know of in no particular order. Some I might have already shared before. You are welcome to comment more, and I’ll add them.
Another month gone; time flies…
And just like that, another month has flown by, admittedly a short one, but already the second in this “new” year. Time to take a quick look back.
Just last week I wrote that I am ready to switch from OneDrive to OpenCloud. But things have changed a bit since then. Hetzner announced a price increase, and I just ordered a new service from them: Storage Share powered by Nextcloud. So instead of switching to OpenCloud, I switched to Nextcloud.
January is now behind us, making it the first month of 2026 to come to a close. Time to take a quick look back.
When I rewrote my “About Me” page some days ago, I was thinking about how long I’ve already been blogging. My thought was 2016, so about 10 years. But reading about another blog birthday piqued my interest again, and I did some more research.
Some in my blogging circle have already published their 2025 year in review, so I want to continue my tradition since 2019 and write a review of my own. But first, a few words about the past month.
The second-to-last month of the year is now over too, so it is time to take the monthly look back.
