For the regular planning workshop at work (my second since I started), I have to be in Schwäbisch Hall from Monday to Wednesday. As train tickets are cheaper on Saturday than on Sunday and I was eager to explore the city anyway, I decided to already arrive yesterday (Saturday). Today (Sunday) I did my planned city discovery.

As I wrote, I had planned a bikepacking trip covering a total of 224 km. Well, things didn’t quite go as planned.

Almost two months ago, I switched back to Ubuntu as my primary operating system. While I still have a Windows 11 VM, I never really use it. Ubuntu 26.04 fits all my needs I had since switching to it. While I installed it during the beta, the final LTS version has also been released since then.

While I, personally, blog less these days than when I was younger and had apparently more spare time, I have the feeling there’s some kind of resurrection of the blogosphere and IndieWeb these days. At least it feels more visible again. I came across a couple of new blog discovery sites recently, so here’s an incomplete list of sites (old and new) I know of in no particular order. Just last week I wrote that I am ready to switch from OneDrive to OpenCloud. But things have changed a bit since then. Hetzner announced a price increase, and I just ordered a new service from them: Storage Share powered by Nextcloud. So instead of switching to OpenCloud, I switched to Nextcloud.
