New headphones: soundcore AeroClip

After one and a half years, there’s a new addition to my collection of almost exclusively soundcore headphones: the open-ear soundcore (by Anker) AeroClip.

As I wrote recently, I purchased a DJI Mic 3 (150 €) to improve my audio input for work calls. It’s the microphone many influencers use, and from my tests, the quality is perfect. For a few days I used it in combination with my soundcore AeroFit 2. But I noticed when wearing them for the whole workday, it gets a bit uncomfortable, even though it’s fine for a few hours. Maybe it’s because I’m wearing glasses and the ear hook is causing a bit of pressure?

I wasn’t really satisfied with this setup, so I researched a bit more and also found on Amazon Warehouse the AeroClip for less than 50 €. It’s also open-ear, so I hear all the surrounding sounds, and it feels more natural when talking, but there’s no hook on the ear; they are clipped to the back of the ears.

There was a bit of uncertainty if they would really be comfortable or if I needed to send them back again, but now that I’ve used them for a few days, I really like them. Even though I wore them each day for more than eight hours, I had absolutely no pain. They are really light and comfortable. And even though they are so small, I hear no real difference from my other headphones, but I’m no audiophile, though. Maybe they have a little less bass than the AeroFit 2 due to their size?

With this setup, I have perfect audio input and output now, meaning I need no wired microphone or headset but am still able to hear music in good quality while working. I also hear my colleagues well during calls, and they hear me perfectly as well.

Having all those headphones now, I have the option to just choose whichever I prefer in the situation or mood. For work, the AeroClip; maybe for a walk outside or a workout, the AeroFit; and when traveling, the Liberty 3 Pro or the Life Q35.

Other people collect watches; I seem to collect computers, headphones, smartphones and razors. 😄
