⚠️ This entry is already over one year old. It may no longer be up to date. Opinions may have changed.

May is now also over and we are getting closer and closer to summer and the middle of 2024. Time to take a quick look back.

It was my birthday at the beginning of the month and I’m now a quarter of a century old. I’m not quite sure whether I should be pleased that I’m now getting better deals on things like car rental, insurance, etc. or whether I should be more shocked, because physically I’m probably going downhill now.

Anyway, this and the long Ascension weekend were the reason why my mother finally visited us in Kassel. The weather was fine and we were able to go for a walk and see a lot of things.

Unfortunately, I caught a cold the following week and I couldn’t really use the next long weekend to continue tidying up.

The rest of the month wasn’t very spectacular; my girlfriend is writing her thesis and I’m trying to cover her back as best I can.

Last weekend I went on a spontaneous bike ride and my city bike made me a little dissatisfied, which is why I looked for sportier options such as gravel or trekking bikes. But as I don’t know much about them and they’re not exactly cheap, I think I’ll stop researching for the time being. Two bikes, one in each household, should be enough.
