Subscribing to YouTube channels using RSS
Although I unsubscribed from all YouTube channels and removed the app from my phone, I now try to consume videos in a more controlled way. I now subscribe to channels using my feed reader Miniflux.
Tech, life and everything else

This year is coming to an end and so I want to take the chance to review the year and write down what happened this year. On the technical side as well as personally.
I have already written an article about the comparison of Huel and Myprotein Whole Fuel Blend. I find such meal replacement powders a very practical thing for several reasons:
In October I bought myself a new backpack after my old backpack, which I used every day, suddenly fell apart and I needed a replacement. Now, finally, I can write down a few more thoughts about this backpack, the black version of the Eastpak Provider:
I can now make use of Micropub to post on my blog!
I use at least eight different operating systems on a daily basis.
It seems like there’s a new trend popping up: Newsletters and paid newsletters.
As I write this, it’s still the 1st of November, but the 2nd is just around the corner. Those days, two years ago, were probably the worst of my life.
Yesterday I ordered an external SSD to have a bit more storage on the go when using my Surface Go, but also to exchange files between my devices (it has an USB C cable, so it should even work with my phone). I have a huge (4TB) external HDD already, but that needs more power than what comes out of the USB C port on the Surface, so when I want to use that, I have to use a charging cable and that’s suboptimal.
If I had considered a year ago what my life might look like today, I would certainly have guessed something completely different from what is reality today.
