The Operating Systems I Use
I use at least eight different operating systems on a daily basis.
Tech, life and everything else

It seems like there’s a new trend popping up: Newsletters and paid newsletters.
As I write this, it’s still the 1st of November, but the 2nd is just around the corner. Those days, two years ago, were probably the worst of my life.
Yesterday I ordered an external SSD to have a bit more storage on the go when using my Surface Go, but also to exchange files between my devices (it has an USB C cable, so it should even work with my phone). I have a huge (4TB) external HDD already, but that needs more power than what comes out of the USB C port on the Surface, so when I want to use that, I have to use a charging cable and that’s suboptimal.
If I had considered a year ago what my life might look like today, I would certainly have guessed something completely different from what is reality today.
The new semester in university started again and I’m using Windows for university things now. Yes, excuse me, I said Windows. I’m using it on my new Microsoft Surface Go.
It’s probably not that easy to understand, why I (as a strong Linux advocate) bought a Microsoft Surface Go and use Windows on it, but let me try to explain…
Yes, this is the first post for a long time about running. I became quite about this topic, but now I try to slowly get back into this activity. In 2017 I was a running freak. I ran every day for a whole month and also preached about running a lot. Everybody should try it and do morning runs, was my mantra back then. The YouTubers I watched and podcasters I listened, as well as writers whose stories I read (all about motivation, self improvement, success etc.), had a huge impact on me.
I hope I don’t have to explain why Google is bad, but just to give a few reasons to switch to alternatives: You’ll probably get better privacy because those alternatives collect less data about you, your data won’t get sold to advertisers or government organizations that easily and you help to prevent a monopoly. Sometimes alternatives are also just better than the Google product and don’t lock you in so much.
I sometimes write articles. On this blog. On my German blog. Not long time ago, I used to write on Medium. I already spent hours and hours of writing.
