Walking
This year, I did way less sports than last year. I’ve only done bodyweight training, but currently do it very irregular. I do running less regular too.
Tech, life and everything else

This semester I have two lectures each week (not in total obviously), each one of those taking 3 hours from 4pm to 7:15pm on Mondays and Tuesdays. Both are given by a professor with a strong accent and a sometimes little bit strange view of the world. I think I never wasted that much time before in my life.
I’ve been noticing this more and more lately. Often, when I blog about something, like yesterday about a software I discovered, there are actually people who take a closer look at the thing I blogged about, in the case of the software even install it and try it out.
I just updated my laptop (a Lenovo ThinkPad S1 Yoga) from Ubuntu 19.04 to the new Ubuntu 19.10 (beta). The last time I did a fresh install was one year ago, when I installed Ubuntu 18.10.
If I had considered a year ago what my life might look like today, I would certainly have guessed something completely different from what is reality today.
I sometimes write articles. On this blog. On my German blog. Not long time ago, I used to write on Medium. I already spent hours and hours of writing.
So, here I am again. Back with no creativity, no ideas and no plan. I (including my brain) am melting due to the heat and the stress of the last weeks of studying somehow erased my brain. I have absolutely no idea what to write about, so I write about that and about what’s up in my life.
Lately I got deep into the topic “minimalism”. I read a lot of online articles, started to read a book, watched some YouTube videos and even the Minimalism Documentary. I want to become a minimalist, get rid of most things I own and live a more meaningful life, which isn’t defined by my consumption. But hell, that isn’t easy.
Yesterday, I tried updating my server. How stupid was I, thinking everything will work without problems. It didn’t work. That stole me two hours of sleep and around 1 hour of time I could have used for more important things.
Yesterday in the evening, it took me only one moment to decide, that I’ll get up early today, although I had no lessons and not really the need to get up that early. But there were some things I had to get done though and my experience (and the statistics on Todoist) showed me, that I get a lot more done when I get up early.
