Tech, life and everything else
We spent our first vacation this year in a small flat on the North Sea coast of Lower Saxony. It was windy at times, but generally quite nice and relaxed. We visited a couple of museums, saw a few small towns in that area, spent a couple of hours at a seawater pool, and also did a boat trip to watch seals.

Yesterday, we came back from some much-needed vacation. We spent 9 nights in Fulda, went hiking a few times, visited some museums, and sometimes also just relaxed. On the way to Fulda, we also made a short break in Kassel and revived some memories.

Yesterday, we returned from a 5-day vacation in the Bavarian Alps, and it was absolutely wonderful!

I finally did, what I planned to do for a long time: Biking from my first to my second flat. I did it in three days. 214 kilometers with 1750 meters uphill.

A week ago, we returned from our summer vacation: This year, just like four years ago, when there weren’t many other options due to COVID, we went for 1.5 weeks to my grandmother’s vacation apartment in Lübeck-Travemünde.

This year I once spent my summer vacation not with my family but with my girlfriend (going on vacation alone feels so grown up somehow… 😅). I spent two weeks with her at the bay of Lübeck. To switch off from everyday life and relax. 😌

If anyone is wondering, why there’s no new content on this blog: I’m on vacation in northern Germany at the Baltic Sea!
I’m fine and am (mostly) enjoying the time with no internet. There’s no WiFi here and also my mobile network’s coverage isn’t optimal (o2 sucks outside of big cities). So I’m more or less forced to do a digital detox. I read books and spend time with my girlfriend instead. 😌
I also chose the right time for my vacation, now that it’s so hot and dry in most parts of Germany. Doing work during this heat wouldn’t be so comfortable. I really hope temperatures are back to normal when I’m back home.
Since I have holidays at the moment and don’t want to spend all my time at home in front of the computer, I decided to go hiking today. However, the place I had chosen was not the best choice. In the forest it was very muddy and my shoes and clothes looked accordingly.
It was nevertheless a nice variation.

I’m currently on vacation and spend less time than usual on things like news and blog articles. A result of this is my news reader is collecting more and more news articles, but too many to read them all.
