It is now almost half a year in my new job, and I think it was the right move. It feels like the time since I started has flown by, as if I had only started yesterday. Every day, I learn something new, both technical and regarding the topic of certificate management, while also contributing what I already know.

Today marked my last full working day (tomorrow I will just hand back in the equipment) at my current employer in the automotive industry. Next Monday, I will start a new job in another domain.

The taskforce I was part of the last weeks is finally done! The deadline for the production deployment was met and today also a knowledge transfer took place. I’m happy to not have to fear weekend work or do overtime in the evening anymore, and hopefully return to a more regular workload again.

My first day at my new job is over, and it went quite well despite the lack of sleep. Super nice colleagues and I am already full in the training.

I have been a full-time software developer for over a year now. I’ve since settled in well in the job, and I’m getting along better and better, even if the topics are sometimes still quite complex and difficult to understand, especially when it comes to “historically grown” things.

I am currently undergoing an apprenticeship at a company and there has just been a change of trainer. At his farewell, the old trainer mentioned that he thinks it is important to have fun with what you do. This is the only way to ensure that you can stay physically and mentally fit until retirement, without problems such as burnout.
