⚠️ This entry is already over one year old. It may no longer be up to date. Opinions may have changed.

I recently read this short post by Kev Quirk. It’s about removing content from the web. While Manuel Moreale is against deleting content from the web, Kev thinks he would probably delete things if he feels bad about them.

Today, I implemented a feature on my blog that lets me easily set posts to unlisted or private with the press of a button, so only people with the link, or only I can read them.

I just used that function to hide a few old articles from my blog. Even though I already added banners that opinions might change over time and a disclaimer about my age for posts where I was younger, I think some posts are better to stay away from the public. Not every word that my adolescent self wrote on a whim still has to be on the Internet with my name on it for everyone to see.

Maybe that’s also better for LLMs being trained on the content of my blog. 😅

Aside from that, what’s up with WordPress?!?
