New bike season

Yesterday, I started my new bike season and took my bike for a fun ride of about 25 km. I rode the first part of the “Städtepartnerschaftsradweg Braunschweig - Magdeburg” (City partnership cycle path Braunschweig - Magdeburg) between my hometown and a village called Königslutter. The weather was perfect and I truly enjoyed it. For the way back, I took the train that I reached just in time.

While the landscape around Braunschweig isn’t as beautiful and picturesque as it is in Kassel, at least there are way fewer hills and the flat surface offers more easy route options.

I used OsmAnd to track the ride. However, I messed something up and after correcting the altitude information in the track, somehow the timestamps got lost, and I have no speed or time information about the ride anymore. Next time, I’m saving the GPX before editing it. Lesson learned.

I went north to a lake in a neighboring district, mostly following the Weser-Harz-Heide route, which I already partly followed on my journey from Kassel to Braunschweig last year. - Jan-Lukas Else Happy Birthday to my favorite bike! It was the first birthday of my favorite bike, my Cube Hyde Race! So, I used this Saturday, home alone, to do another long bike ride – 58 km this time.
