Wolfenbüttel

When I’m on my bike and do a little evening tour, I often follow the same routes. Some variations here and there, but not too many. On Friday, I did more of a detour from my usual paths. I went along a beautiful lake in Braunschweig towards Wolfenbüttel and then through a little forest next to where I studied. After that, I went back home using the way I regularly rode with my pedelec going back from university.

While riding, I was thinking about Wolfenbüttel. It’s a small city near Braunschweig but also has a pretty big district. On my tours I frequently ride through the district, as it has many good bicycle paths. There’s also a kind of bicycle highway planned from Braunschweig to Wolfenbüttel. I studied in Wolfenbüttel and also went to a physiotherapy there once. My wife works at a school in Wolfenbüttel.

The tour itself was quite nice. Although the weather is difficult. It isn’t warm enough to only wear short bike clothes anymore, but it also isn’t cold enough for long clothes. Next week it’s going to be 27 degrees again, and I thought it was autumn now.
