It was probably my most productive first week of January so far. Big progress in the apartment: lots of furniture (and a large wall unit) dismantled, two rooms painted and much more. Tomorrow maybe a bit more relaxed program, so that I don’t need a vacation from vacation straight away. 😅

I just noticed that I can cancel my annual Amazon Prime subscription and get the remaining time refunded. It was a very hidden option, but I just chose it. Delivery to package stations is still free. Let’s see if I can survive without Prime. In the last 12 months, the only Prime feature I have used is delivery. And I ordered about 40 times, but often just for convenience.
New year, new habits?!
Colin’s post yesterday inspired me to install the Loop Habit Tracker app. How did I not know about this app yet? Free, no ads, and even open source!
Once again I have coded a new small blog feature: statistics 📈 (English blog, German blog). I find it interesting to observe how the number of posts per year has changed over the years. Maybe I’ll add more detailed statistics with posts per month etc. soon.

Another (more powerful) IFTTT alternative: n8n
Through a tutorial posted on Hacker News, I just came across another alternative to IFTTT and especially Zapier. IFTTT costs money now (at least pretty quickly when you get into the subject matter) and Zapier is not that cheap either. n8n is a good open source solution when it comes to workflow automation and is probably a lot more powerful compared to IFTTT too.
More important
There are things that are more important to me than computers and the Internet: Like spending time with the love of my life.
