I took some time today (since I have the day off for a public holiday) to update the “About Me” page on this blog and make it a bit more personal. It should now offer a good way to get to know me without ever having met me in real life. 😄
After long consideration, I have now moved email for all but my main domain (but that’s coming too) to Purelymail. Email without bullshit. And with the “Advanced billing mode” they really only charge by usage or $10 per year with the “Simple billing”, but even with Advanced that shouldn’t be much more than $1 per month for me.
What I like most is that there is no unnecessary limit on the number of users, aliases or custom domains. 👍
And to keep my emails even if Purelymail suddenly disappears, I set up a cronjob (based on this Dockerfile) that backs up my IMAP mailbox once an hour.
Blogging is sometimes like self-therapy. Sorting and sorting out thoughts in your head and finally you feel better.
For the last two weeks I had holidays. Actually, but not really, because I didn’t really notice much of the holidays. Christmas and New Year’s Eve were, and most people spent their time at this time of the year, with their eating and sitting around.
