When did I start blogging?

When I rewrote my “About Me” page some days ago, I was thinking about how long I’ve already been blogging. My thought was 2016, so about 10 years. But reading about another blog birthday piqued my interest again, and I did some more research.

Nice to see that there is such a variety of MicroPub clients, next to Quill, Micropublish and the mobile app Indigenous, there’s also sparkles. But on the desktop, I mostly just use GoBlog’s editor nowadays. It has live sync and and a live preview, which is sometimes very helpful. But flexibility is the key, use what fits you and the situation the best.

My first Freeletics week

My first Freeletics week is complete. And I got a badge for the first “perfect week”. I hope this gamification (levels and badges for perfect weeks, perfect week streaks, training session milestones etc.) will make me pull through. My girl friend also joined me and started using Freeletics. 🤓

WhatsApp drama

Right now, there’s drama because WhatsApp is changing its terms of service and wants to share even more data with Facebook (at least from users outside the EU).

Skip reCAPTCHA challenges with the Buster Add-On

If you aren’t using Chrome but another browser like Firefox with turned-on privacy settings and an add-on like uBlock Origin, it can happen that you come across reCAPTCHA challenges quite often (because Google thinks, you’re a bot). They are pretty annoying to solve manually, so there is an add-on named Buster that solves the audio challenge by using speech recognition.
