I re-enabled my old trusty 2013-manufactured Lenovo ThinkPad S1 Yoga which I used during my studies. I had Ubuntu 24.04 installed on it for some time but never really used it. But now, I upgraded it to the latest development build of Ubuntu 26.04 to check the current state of Ubuntu and Linux on the desktop. And to check if I really switch to it as my main operating system.

I just watched the movie “The Dissident” (currently available at 3sat in DE/AT/CH).
I am a fan of SQLite. SQLite is brilliant, offers a lot of features, but is often underestimated. Also my blog uses SQLite, as well as my URL shortener.
Do you remember the picture I posted today about my home office desk?
I remembered that when I bought my PC, I also ordered a VESA mount kit so that I could screw the PC to a compatible monitor and my monitor is compatible. At that time I just didn’t do that because I somehow failed with the screws.
Today I tried it again and as it turned out I was just too stupid to use the right screws. There were two sizes, which I did not notice and of course intuitively took the wrong one. But now the VESA mount is finally in use and my little PC is hidden behind the monitor.
More space and tidiness on my desk!
