On my blog, I’ve had the ability to link posts to a location for some time now. There is also a map that shows all posts with a location.
How many posts have I read now with people buying a new MacBook Pro to use for a very long time? How many of them will buy new devices in two years? 😅
If you really want to use a device for a long time (more than 5 years) then I don’t think it’s a good idea to buy a device from the golden apple orchard with the new processors. 🍎 Better buy a device which also has good Linux support. 🐧
Apple will come up with something to persuade Apple fans to buy even more expensive new devices in two years. 😎
Just my 2️⃣ cents…
I’m a bit skeptical about GitHub Copilot, but now that I’ve really tried it out for the first time, I’m amazed by its capabilities. Copilot doesn’t replace programming, but it does take a lot of the work out of it. What works well, for example, is the completion of comments in the code.
And another year… Time passes quickly, but still there are some issues that need to be sorted out, because all this was not foreseeable. But that’s life, rarely predictable and some meet fate unplanned.
Many people have seen the videos of Boston Dynamics with their robots. While watching the videos, I always wondered what the possible use cases for such robots (dogs) are? Just millitary? But now Tom Scott clarifies it with a new video: Hydroelectric power plant inspection for example! With the robots it is cheaper and easier to monitor the power plants centrally.
So cool, I have a live preview in the GoBlog editor now! 🤓

I debated for a long time whether to integrate a JavaScript-based Markdown editor, but I like this solution with just a bit of vanilla JavaScript and WebSockets much better! It’s also the first time I used WebSockets and I didn’t think it would be so easy….

Look, I love (personal) blogs, but I couldn’t care less about your “strategy for making money writing on the Internet.” But, I’ve already said that.
Is a blog really that personal when it’s purpose is just to make money? 🤔 I would call that a business blog. Probably a personal business blog.
Martin Tournoij wrote about “stupid light software”. When you try to be a bit too minimalistic with your software, it’s probably “stupid light software”.
Yes, Tomáš! I was thinking about exactly that. Just a simple SVG favicon with an Unicode emoji, maybe this one: “👨💻”.
